A Weekend Breathwork Experience of Self -Discovery in Taipei
We welcome you to join us in the beautiful vibrant city of Taipei for a weekend (non-residential) workshop. We will be focusing on 2 major areas of the body where we commonly hold tension. The Pelvis and the Abdomen.
The pelvic belt of tension is the home of the root chakra. This chakra governs our physical energy, specifically our sense of safety and belonging within ourselves and with others. It is related with the fight flight and freeze response, and is often held in a state of contraction. This can cause structural and physical alignment problems, as well as emotional and sexual tension.
The abdominal belt of tension is where the sacral chakra is located. This chakra is related to discovery, creativity, pleasure, sexuality, intuition and is directly related to the root chakra. This area can often be neglected in our breathing patterns. As this area is also very much associated with emotional wellbeing, and how we relate to others emotions. When we are able to fully breathe into this area and release contraction, we start to feel more deeply, and live more fully.
During this workshop we will be looking at how contraction and armouring is developed in these areas as a protection strategy, and how to acknowledge when these strategies are no longer useful in our lives and relationships. We will experience guided meditation, movement and embodiment exercises, TRE (trauma release exercises) and conscious connected breathing to connect with these areas, releasing tension and belief patterns.
This course is physically non-invasive. All touch and bodywork is conducted fully clothed. Your consent is required for the application of touch and bodywork. And we welcome the expression of your boundaries throughout the weekend.
Taught in English and translated into Mandarin Chinese.
